In electric pallet trucks, the driving force for movement and lifting is electricity, which is supplied by rechargeable batteries. Although operating these pallet trucks is much easier than manual types, their relatively high price means that their availability is limited.

The operator simply needs to stand behind the control handle and carry out lifting or transportation by guiding the pallet truck.
Electric pallet trucks are divided into two main categories: models with rider capability and models without rider capability (with platform and without platform). These machines offer very high speed and efficiency in warehouse operations and do not produce environmental pollution.
Electric pallet trucks operate with a mechanism similar to manual pallet trucks, with the difference that loading and material handling are powered by an electric drive system supplied by a high-capacity battery. Due to the use of electric drive power in electric pallet trucks, operating speed increases, which in turn leads to higher productivity in material handling and transportation within a facility.

Electric pallet trucks are manufactured and supplied to the market in two models: fully electric (automatic) and semi-electric. In fully electric pallet trucks, both lifting and movement are performed by electric power supplied by a lead-acid battery and electric drive motors.
In semi-electric models, the movement of the pallet truck is powered by an electric drive system, while the lifting operation is carried out manually via a hydraulic jack, similar to the pump mechanism used in manual pallet trucks, operated by handle pumping.
The advantages of electric pallet trucks include:
-
No need for mechanical force
-
Environmentally friendly due to electric drive operation
-
No pollution and low noise level
-
Smaller turning radius
